I have been fortunate to have been assigned to two good doctors at the practice although my current doctor leaves soon so I am hoping that the replacement provides such good service. I have read negative comments about religious beliefs being important to doctors at the service. I am an atheist and have not found that Christian beliefs are pushed at all by the surgery and the religious aspect has had no impact on me at all one way or the other although I suspect that it may have a very positive impact for those patients with similar beliefs to the doctors. If so I would be pleased for those patients and see this as positive. It has become more difficult to get appointments lately but I expect that the increasing population in the area is the cause of this rather than anything the surgery is doing. It probably applies to most surgeries in the area and the health service generally as demand is starting to outstrip supply and new infrastructure is not being put in place for the additional workload resulting from a rising population caused largely by migration to the UK and people living longer. I have found the receptionists to be a bit abrupt at times and I think the customer care could be improved on the front desk particularly when I compare it with what is expected of me in the retail environment. Having said that the attitude of some of the patients is not good and some are very rude and demanding, which coupled with what I would imagine is a heavy workload may impact on way the front desk service is delivered. Overall though I am happy to be at this surgery and when it all comes down the thing I am really bothered about is the service provided by the Doctor and this has always been good and they have taken time to diagnose things well and treat me appropriately.

I am delighted that Saturday appointments are an option for me as I work full time and it is often difficult to fit appointments in during the week.
